The thing nobody mentions
One connection is all your provider gave you.
Most IPTV subscriptions allow a single simultaneous stream. Players that open a second connection to fetch a poster, probe a channel or check a guide spend the line you are watching on — which is why the picture dies when you scrub. FlexCast holds one session to the provider and serves everything else from its local copy: the catalogue, the artwork, the guide, the frame you left on.

What it does
Read it like a programme guide.
Rows are the four surfaces of the app. The horizontal axis is when a feature earns its place — while you watch, when you step away, while you are gone, when the line gets slow.
Live
Rewind live
While a channel is open it writes to a rolling buffer, so you can take the goal back. Switched off, no buffer process starts at all.
Scheduled recording
Record straight from the guide. It starts 30 seconds early, ends two minutes late, and says a schedule was missed rather than swallowing it.
Step down a rung
When the line narrows it offers the same channel at a lower rung. No sibling, nothing changes.
Films & series
Tracks in your language
Audio and subtitle tracks follow the profile language, and your own choice is remembered per title and per profile.
The frame you left
It keeps the last frame when you close. The card shows that frame and the player opens on it — nothing black waits in between.
Offline downloads
Queue a title, watch the percentage, set the disk limit yourself. It opens on a plane too.
The other version
If a smaller version of the same title exists it offers that. It will not re-encode locally — that was measured, and it does not help.
Recording
Start recording
One button while you watch. Length is measured from the file, not from the wall clock.
Buffer while paused
Pausing does not drop the connection; it keeps writing ahead until a five-minute buffer is full.
The scheduled round
Schedules run while you are away and finished recordings land in the library.

Profiles
Each person gets their own language, their own history and their own list.
A PIN that means it
Adult categories sit behind a PIN, and deleting a PIN-locked profile asks for the PIN too.
Two subscriptions
Keep more than one source side by side. It will not let you save the same subscription twice.

Install it, then enter your subscription.

The script works out the operating system and architecture, downloads the right file and checks its sha256. If the checksum does not match, it does not install.
